Technically superior
Magic Float and its assembly components are manufactured from a superior quality grade industrial strength high-density molecular weight (0,954g/cm3) Polyethylene HD-PE Lupolen 5261Z (BASF) from Germany. This material will never corrode or generate reactions with seawater electrolysis, chemicals, hydrocarbons and is 100% UV resistant. Due to its superior grade of High Density Molecular Weight PE no leaching from the material will contaminate the water or will be absorbed by it, an important factor when working in environmentally sensitive SSSI waterways.

Patented interlocking design
The unique interlocking faces of the cubes increase the shear and lateral load bearing capacity by over 50% when compared with an equivalent flat sided cube design. Scientific analysis and mechanical loading experiments conducted by the Taipei Professional Mechanical Engineering Association have established the superior load bearing capability of an interlocking design. -
Non interlocking design of other systems
Scientifically conducted load tests have shown that the maximum load bearing of the flat sided cube system is less than 70% of that achievable with our unique interlocking cube system. In addition the load tests demonstrated that the flat sided cube suffers greater sideways movement due to lateral loads than our interlocking design. The interlocking sides of Magic Float positively resist lateral movement and this significantly increases platform rigidity and stability. -
High strength connecting lug
Connecting lugs can be the weakest area in a cubular module. Not so with ‘MAGIC FLOAT’. The connecting lugs are 20mm thick and designed to give continuous reliable service under tensile loads of 2800kgs. By combining the design advantage of stronger lugs and increased lateral load distribution via the interlocking sides ‘MAGIC FLOAT’ modules have a significantly higher load bearing capability than any other module on the market. -
Safer anti-slip surface
Anti-slip is an essential aspect of platforms for safe working on water. ‘Magic Float’ has a generous water drainage pattern to facilitate good grip in a wet environment. -
Colour range
Some suppliers offer any colour as long as its black! Not Work on Water. We recognise many work areas are located in reduced light zones for example under bridges. Lighter brighter colours improve site safety by clear demarcation of the platform perimeter and hazard zones. For maximum safety on commercial and civil sites we provide light grey and bright orange float. -
